With great sadness we pass on the sad news of the passing of Dave “Macca” McLachlan. Dave passed away on the 1st of January 2025 just 8 days shy of his 66th Birthday. The club and members send their love to Joanne and the family at this incredibly sad time.
Dave was an integral part of the merger team of Cronulla Sailing Club and the Port Hacking Ocean Yacht Club. Dave was a life member of the club for many reasons, some of which were as Commodore, Rear Commodore, and, more recently, the club Starter.
Dave’s family invite all sailors and friends to his celebration of life at Wanda Surf Club on Monday 13th January at 10:30am.
Sailing is in his blood.
We all will greatly miss Dave.
We wish Dave fair winds and following seas.
